Victim Threw Up:
Action: Turn the victim on their side to clear the vomit from their mouth, then resume care.
The First Breath Did Not Make the Chest Rise:
Action: Reposition the head to ensure the airway is open, then attempt another breath.
The Second Breath Did Not Make the Chest Rise:
Action: Check for and remove any obstructions in the airway, then attempt another breath.
Sign of Life:
Action: Stop CPR and monitor the victim's breathing and pulse until EMS arrives.
Two Minutes Go By:
Action: Reassess the victim's condition and switch rescuers if necessary to avoid fatigue.
The Scene Became Unsafe:
Action: Move the victim to a safer location, if possible, then continue care.
Personnel Showed Up:
Action: Resume care with additional help and coordinate with the new personnel. Follow their instructions as they take over care and transport the victim to the hospital.
Object in Mouth:
Action: Use a finger sweep to remove the object if visible, then continue care.
Breath Went In:
Action: Continue with the next breath or CPR cycle as needed.
Bystanders Recording You:
Action: Ignore the distraction and focus on providing care to the victim.
